The Walking Dead Comic Book

The Walking Dead Comic Book

The Walking Dead. In this Lens we will talk about The Walking Dead Comic Book Series and is characters. Whether you are seeking to purchase these comic books as an investment, simply as a hobby, or to pass down to your kids or grandchildren someday - this Lens will serve as a guide and satisfy your thirst for knowledge in this area. Without question, The Show The Walking Dead is one of the most popular TV shows of all time. It has a very loyal following. The Comic Book Series actually started years before the television show. It is fair to expect that in a decade or two the Walking Dead Comic Book Series might even be at the same status as Superman or Batman. The reason for this is two fold: #1 The power of social media and #2 This Comic Book Series is much more relevant to our time and age. So enjoy this Lens and please feel free to comment on our guest book.

The Walking Dead Comic Books For Sale

Hard Cover

These are some of the newest books available from the Walking Dead Comic Book Series. Some of these are collectibles and in limited quantities. The Road To Woodbury and Rise of The Governor are an absolute must in terms of a collection.

The Walking Dead Omnibus Collection pictured here is really the second edition. A definite improvement over the first edition. The covers of these books are very well done and this would make for an incredible collection for years to come. The stories differ from the show so you will keep in suspense as you flip and read through these series.

One thing about these books is that even if you are not a true zombie fan per say, the storyline will definitely keep you enthralled throughout the entire book.

The Walking Dead Comic Book vs. TV Show

The Differences

Walking Dead Action Figures

When it comes to action figures, people generally fall into 2 camps. Camp 1 is for people who collect action figures mainly for the enjoyment of it. Camp 2, which is the camp I will talk about here mostly, is for people who view action figure collecting as an investment. There are a few things you have to look out for.

First of all understand the Grading System used for action figures. A good resource is the AFA or Action Figure Authority. Their grading system is generally divided into AFA Gold, Silver and Bronze with several grades in between. For the purposes of purchasing Walking Dead Action Figures as an investment I recommend you stick to AFA 9.0 or higher. Ideally, the action figure must be in its original packing for it to be graded the highest and appreciate in value.

A few Walking Dead Action Figures that I recommend are Rick Grimes and "Bloody" Rick Grimes. Michonne. Zombie Lurker, which splits at waist level and Zombie Roamer which splits at head.

The Walking Dead Games

Great games for the whole family. A couple of things on one of the board games. It actually comes in a playmat not a cardboard and it is set up where you do not necessarily have to wait for your turn, as in other board games like Monopoly. You are actually in the action throughout playing with limited resources, carving out a strategy. There is a level of cooperation involved but in the end it's about who comes out victorious. You ca play as either a survivor or a zombie in this game. It takes about 1-2 hours to finish and is meant for 2-4 people.

The online game is actually not set up so much as a zombie slasher game but in a format as to what would you do if society goes awry. You are part of the new society and often it is much more fun to make decisions that impact the whole group, or part of it, then just going out and killing zombies. But of course that is fun also.
